Tanya grew up on the Central Coast of New South Wales, where
she developed a great love and appreciation of nature and the environment.
Developing an artistic style based a keen understanding of nature her
work is characterised by high detail and a devotion to capturing the true
spirit of the subject.
Tanya paints in various mediums such as Ink, Acrylics,
and Gouache however has come to appreciate the challenge and versatility
of Watercolour and now chooses it as her preferred medium. Finding that
she was constantly drawn to works portraying extreme detail and depicting
subjects such as flora and fauna she has decided to combine these two
aspects in most of her work.
Tanya is undertaking her final year of a degree in Natural
History at the University of Newcastle and was awarded the Margaret Senior
Wildlife Illustration prize for her major work. Last year she also became
an invited member of the Florilegium Society at the Royal Botanic Gardens
in Sydney.

various exhibitions nationwide.
